This is a mock exam to help students understand the structure of the exam and the level of English that is needed to successfully pass it.

EPE is an English exam that consists of 2 parts: Writing and Speaking.

Writing has 3 sections: Reading, Language in Use, and Essay writing.

  • The reading section consists of 3-4 texts and questions to them, including True/False questions, Multiple choice questions, Multiple matching questions, and Sentence gaps.
  • The language in use section has 3-4 tasks, including Empty gaps, Word formation, Word choice (out of 4 options), and Word choice from the list. Sometimes there are tasks involving removing one word from the sentence.
  • Essay writing is usually a comment writing task. It's graded based on specific criteria that the student needs to know.

Speaking consists of one speaking card that the student has to cover in 6 minutes.
